This project seeks to analyze the effects of Uganda’s digitalization legal framework on inclusive development, focusing on how laws and regulations surrounding digitalization impact various sectors, including economic development, social inclusion, and governance.
Supported by funding from GIZ and the European Union (EU), this research project aims to provide comprehensive insights into how digitalization policies affect different groups within Uganda, particularly marginalized communities. By identifying gaps and opportunities within the legal framework, the project intends to offer recommendations for improving the inclusivity of Uganda’s digital transformation.
The findings from this research will inform policymakers on how to create a more inclusive digitalization framework that benefits all Ugandans. The recommendations are expected to guide future legal reforms, ensuring that digital transformation contributes to broader development goals, including poverty reduction, social inclusion, and equitable access to opportunities.
